Unix Mail Servers

Protect the most common virus entry point
As the majority of viruses penetrate networks via email, virus protection for mail servers is an essential part of any full-scale information security system.
  • Fully integrated with Webmin for remote configuration and management
  • Kaspersky Updater module ensures smooth downloading of database updates every three hours
Full-scale mail scanning
This centralised virus protection system is designed for work with Sendmail, qmail, Postfix and Exim, and integrates with the mail system as an additional module. All components of mail messages, including attachments and OLE objects, are scanned for viruses.

Isolation of malicious code
Objects containing malicious code can be deleted, treated or quarantined. Administrators can define which suspicious objects should be placed in quarantine; the range of options includes password protected files, previously infected files which have been cured, and files damaged by viruses prior to scanning. The solution detects all types of malicious code, including Java applets and ActiveX controls. Malicious code can be deleted from tar and zip formats.

Notification and reporting
Kaspersky Anti-Virus provides the option to define which details of system performance will be shown in event reprots. When a suspicious or infected file is detected, notification with a full description of the malicious code can be sent to the system administrator, the sender and recipient of the infected message.
